The Soviet Union


Union of 15 republics of Europe and Asia from 1922 to 1991. Founded in 1922 with the treaty on the establishment of the USSR by Russia, the Ukraine, Belarus and Transcaucasia. Later other 6 republics joined the union, making the number of the constituent states15. On December 26, 1991 the Soviet Union collapsed. Subsequently, the former union republics regained their independence.
